Dressage Test

Today everyone completed a basic dressage test. most riders rode in a group, half of the test was ridden without stirrups.
Mr Vreden explained that this is a common way to run tests in Germany as they often have over 100 riders per test & there is no way they could all ride individually.
After some hilarious practice in a makeshift arena last night where everyone ran the test on foot the riders all gave a creditable performance today with some riders really showing a big improvement from day 1. Amazing what a few days tune-up can do.

Afterwards there was a lecture on conformation for sport horses. Mr Vreden showed us the horse that he rode to success in the young eventer classes some years ago.
