We caught up with friends from the 2009 AYOF in Sydney British team member Charlie Hutton (2009 ind silver medallist) & chef d’equipe Caroline. Charlie & Caroline gave us some insights into what is required of team members at a championship like this where riders are under the direction of a team chef & coach with professional grooms managing the horses. Looks like we will be joining the GBR cheer squad tomorrow.

The gold medalists in each championship were given a carriage ride as a special treat.
A harness horse demonstration was also given with Diederik Von Silfot and Lotje Loots two Dutch young rider team members riding while a couple of horses were run in hand- wow you have to be fit to show these horses off.
