On day 1 prices ranged from 2500 -36000 euro (by the time we left at aroubnd lot 60). 200 foals were for sale half of the catalogue were presented today with a run in the arena followed by the auction. The mares were generally very well behaved & relaxed about where the foals were. Catching them was sometimes a bit of a heart stopper. A 3 sided yard was set up outside the parade area to draw the foals in so they could have their halters replaced.
Thanks to Rebecca Mcintyre (an expat Aussie helping people to find horse in Germany) and her partner Kai Schildwachter for suggeting we come along & for explaining the process of buying & selling thru the auction. We werer a bit disappointed we didn't get to come back & see the ponies on day 2.
